A ring could carry an oath. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle records the Danish army swearing to King Alfred on their holy ring in 876. Eyrbyggja saga describes a twenty-ounce ring kept in a temple, on which every oath was sworn.
This bracelet is a stylised take, not a replica of a find: braided steel cable, an open cuff, two wolf heads facing each other.
