VEGVÍSIR STUD — Viking Compass Earrings

The story behind it

Younger than you think.

The Vegvísir is not a Viking symbol. Its earliest known record is the Huld manuscript, compiled in Iceland in 1860 among the magical staves of folk practice. The note is short: carry this stave and you will not lose your way in storms or bad weather.

These studs are a stylised take, not a replica of the manuscript drawing: eight arms raised on a dark ground, ringed with black stones, 11mm across.

A note from Grégor

To everyone who has worn our pieces:

We're closing North Hoard. Ad costs kept climbing and cheap copies are everywhere. We'd rather stop properly than cut corners.

What's left is reduced. Once a piece sells out, it won't be made again.

Built to outlast me

Wore it every day for three months straight — workouts, showers, rain, whatever. Zero tarnish, zero fading. The weight alone tells you it's real. First piece that doesn't feel like jewellery, feels like an heirloom.

Heavier than it looks online

You can feel the metal the moment you pick it up. Not hollow plated junk. Dark finish holds up, engraving stays sharp. Exactly what I wanted — nothing flashy, just solid and intentional.

Finally found my piece

Been hunting for a ring that doesn't scream and doesn't vanish either. This lands dead center. Subtle rune detail, matte finish, sits right on the finger. Got a few comments without asking for them.

Henry W. Verified Buyer

Shipped fast, arrived clean

Ordered Monday, landed Friday. Packaging was minimal and right — raw linen, small card, no plastic. The piece itself looked better in hand than on the website. That's rare.

Thomas R. Verified Buyer

Subtle detail, serious impact

I don't do loud jewellery. This sits dark and quiet on me, and people still notice. The engraving is delicate but the weight is heavy. Fair price for the finish — most brands charge triple for less.

Worth more than what I paid

Honestly surprised at the build quality for this bracket. Solid stainless steel, properly finished edges, no rough spots. Daily wear for six weeks now, still looks day one. Getting a second one for my brother.
