The story behind it
Stafr is Old Norse for a staff, and for a letter. After a fire in 1955, digs at Bryggen, the old harbour of Bergen, turned up hundreds of rune-sticks from the Middle Ages: names, prayers, trade notes, love messages. Runes were a working script.
These ear cuffs are a stylised take, not a replica: each band cut with its own sequence of Elder Futhark runes, darkened in the cut. They clip on. No piercing.
