The story behind it
The cross reached Scandinavia before the old gods left. At Trendgården in Jutland, a 10th-century soapstone mould was found that cast Thor's hammers and crosses side by side. Around 965, King Harald Bluetooth raised a stone at Jelling saying he made the Danes Christian.
These studs are a stylised take, not a replica: an oxidised silver disc with filigree scrollwork, a raised gold-tone cross at the centre, on butterfly backs.
