The story behind it
From the late 6th century BC, Athens struck its silver tetradrachm with Athena on one side and her owl on the other, beside the letters ΑΘΕ. The coins travelled across the Mediterranean, and people simply called them owls. This one is Greek, not Norse.
This pendant is a stylised take, not a replica: an irregular coin shape, the owl and archaic lettering in high relief, in 925 sterling silver on a rolo chain.
